To bring an almost dead brand back to life, we mixed “newtro” design (a trend among young Koreans of reinterpreting vintage styles) with Korea’s national love of characters. We redezigned our packaging and brought back our historic bear mascot, Lala Bear. We cast Lala Bear as the celebrity and main asset in our campaigns, which we augmented with brand merchandise like a fashion collection and summer beer swag.
