Cristal - The Hacking Jersey
Category: Low Budget
In its history, the Peruvian national football team had only won 7 out of 67 CONMEBOL qualifiers as the visiting team. But to get to the World Cup, Perú had to play in New Zealand, 10,548 kms away in a city where only 64 Peruvians live. Three days before the game, Cristal decided to create a jersey featuring a New Zealand map that, from a distance, looked like a Peruvian jersey, making the crowd seem packed with Perú fans. The team felt at home, and qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 36 years.
